When it comes to beer drinking, Texans sure do like to kick back and enjoy a cold one.
According to statistics released from the Beer Institute, brewers shipped 19.9 million barrels of beer a year to Texas, making the Lone Star State the No. 2 most-popular state for shipments.
One barrel is equal to 31 gallons.
The analysis focused on U.S. residents who are at least 21 years old. The analysis of 2012 U.S. beer sales also estimates that the industry contributed $246 billion to the economy.
California ranks first in the nation with 22.3 million barrels of beer shipped in 2012, according to the institute.
Nationwide, 206.2 million barrels were shipped across the country.
