The Value Of Connecting With Your Online Customers Through ...

Posted on April 2nd, 2012

During the early years of internet marketing, just the fact that you had more practical knowledge than anyone else enabled you to make money on the web. The internet marketers that were the first to utilize autoresponders and take advantage of Google Adwords put themselves in a position to profit as there was very little competition during the time. Through the years, web marketing has evolved to the point that it is now imperative to connect in a favorable way with present and potential prospects. Keep reading to discover how relationship marketing can grow your business in many different ways.

Despite the fact that email marketing has stopped being the only method of marketing to your potential customers, it remains a vital aspect of internet business building. Building a list is not aimed at aggressively growing your subscriber list anymore. In most cases, individuals who join your list will likely be on the list of other internet marketers also, and so you want to be sure that they elect to open and read your emails. There is no doubt that email open rates have slipped in recent years, so you need to position yourself in such a way that your messages are seen as a priority to individuals on your list. As we know, when you give generously you can anticipate getting many benefits in return. If you give your subscribers helpful free information, they?re going to be more likely to buy something when you recommend it to them.

So if we accept that email marketing is still important, we must also recognize that social media has introduced a completely new era for relationship marketing. It is a fact that web sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn play a vital role in the lives of many people and discussions occur that can boost or harm a business online. Online marketers can benefit from being active on these web sites if they interact positively with people. Folks are more inclined to take a look at your web site or join your mailing list if they have a positive experience with you on these web sites. Using your email and web marketing to create buyers out of these visitors is what you?re after over the long haul.

If you choose to study these social websites, you can expect to readily find a devoted group of people who will follow you because of how you build a relationship with them. There are numerous examples of online marketers who approach this in the correct way and you can model their success by seeing how they use these web sites. Akin to any other online marketing approach, if you observe those who have succeeded, you can prevent yourself from making some of the same irreparable errors. Here is some thing special for you?. Songsterr is the best online course you can join and be very good in competition.

Nowadays relationship marketing is a priority on the Internet, and if you can provide value while being a person of integrity and someone others can trust, you can expect to succeed.

What Are The Risks Of Day Trading? - | Adrians Review

If you are looking for a truly risky venture for your investment dollar then you may want to investigate the roller coaster ride that many know as day trading. While those that swear by it for making and breaking fortunes will swear there is a formula those that have been raked onto the rocky shores of this particular trading business will be the first to tell you that their luck ran out. Whether it?s luck or science, day trading for many has proven to be risky business at best.

The Risks

In order to be successful in day trading you must be absolutely prepared to lose. You do not have time to think about failure, as it is likely at any moment. This is a lightening quick business and sometimes the market moves much more quickly than your fingers. This can result in unexpected losses as well as unexpected gains along the way. These bumps in the road are nothing compared to the highs and lows of actually being a day trader though. Forget the finances for a moment and consider the risks of heart attacks, heart palpitations, and strokes brought on the by excitement and heartburn (not that this can bring about a stroke but it sounded good) of the moment.

Day trading is very taxing. You must constantly watch your computer throughout the day for signs of life from your stock and act immediately. This is a high stress job that many simply cannot handle long term. Unfortunately day trading must become your day job because you have little time or energy to invest in anything else. There are those that get a huge charge from day trading but this is not a job for the average citizen it takes a huge toll on their health much too quickly-especially those that are sensitive to stress as it is.

Perhaps the biggest risk is that you can become addicted to the highs and lows. This is a huge problem because once you become addicted it is much more difficult to temper your purchases and counter your losses. When you aren?t looking at it with a clear mind and unhampered perspective it doesn?t seem nearly as dangerous as it can be. Lives are ruined financially because of irresponsible day trading and addictions to day trading that are much like addictions to gambling. If you suspect you or someone you love is the victim of this particular addiction please get him or her or yourself the help that is needed as quickly as possible.

You should also understand that day trading isn?t investing in the strictest sense of the world. Day traders don?t invest in stocks so much as they trade stocks and while some may claim this is a simple case of semantics there are a few major differences. Investors hold onto stocks for a little while with the expectation of gains over time while traders buy and sell quickly hoping for immediate trading. Investors research and study a specific stock before jumping in while traders study patterns and formulas and hope they made the right decision.

Investing in and of itself is risky; day trading adds another layer of risk to the equation. If you think you have what it takes to participate in day trading you need to keep in mind that you should make sure that you have a few other options in place for your investment future that require a little less risk.

David Kreutzer: Seeing green jobs through rose-colored glasses

Green jobs or, as our president calls them, the "jobs of the future" have been notoriously tough to define and count. The Bureau of Labor Statistics recently did it, though, and now it is the results that are notorious.

Though tasked with an admittedly difficult project, the BLS created a definition of green jobs that is so broad as to make it a meaningless measure of the green economy. Here's a sneak preview: There are 33 times as many green jobs in the septic tank and portable toilet servicing industry as in solar electricity utilities.

The meaninglessness of the green-jobs count has not stopped cheerleaders for green mandates and subsidies from pointing to it as justification for more of the same. They point to the nearly 500,000 green jobs in the manufacturing sector. Maybe they have visions of 500,000 people assembling windmills and hybrid cars.

If so, they need to put away the rose-colored glasses, get out the green eyeshades and look at the data in the BLS report. The largest green-job producers within manufacturing are steel mills. Over 50 percent of all jobs in steel mills are counted as green ? not because the steel goes to make green products, but because most of our steel is made from scrap steel.

That's right; most of our steel is recycled steel. And according Part 3 of the BLS definition, if you recycle, your job is green. The trend toward greater use of scrap steel, however, has been going on for decades and is not the result of green subsidies.

So what do the jobs of the future look like? Here are some industries and the number of green jobs reported by the BLS:

?School Bus and Employee Transportation (private): 160,896

?Waste Collection: 116,293

?Used Merchandise stores: 106,865

?Engineering Services: 100,847

?Architectural Services: 71,891

It looks like the new green economy the president promised tilts more toward driving school buses, picking up trash, and working at Goodwill ? not designing green buildings and high-tech equipment, as most people imagine.

Yes, many categories include jobs that are high-tech enough and a deep enough shade of green to justify their inclusion. But those jobs are diluted with so many others that the total cannot be used in any debate regarding the importance of green jobs to our economy or the effectiveness of green-jobs policies.

One reporter gushed about the 44,000 green jobs in the electric utility industry. However, more than 80 percent of those green jobs are in the nuclear-sector alone ? a sector not universally loved by the environmental movement. In addition, since we have not licensed and built a new nuclear power plant in more than 30 years, those jobs are not part of any new-economy trend. At least not yet.

The jobs numbers contain a final irony: Social advocacy organizations can claim 20,704 green jobs, while the renewable portion of the electric power generation industry (wind, solar, biomass and geothermal) had only 4,700 green jobs. So, it looks as if more people have jobs promoting green energy than have jobs making green energy.

Unfortunately, five times as many lobbyists as workers does sound like the economy of the future.

UPDATE 1-Golf-Tseng caught by Swede Sjodin in tie for Kraft lead

Sun Apr 1, 2012 2:50am BST

* Tseng cards a 71 in gusting winds at Mission Hills

* Surrenders outright lead to charging Sjodin (Adds quotes, detail)

March 31 (Reuters) - Yani Tseng's grip on the Kraft Nabisco Championship was loosened by strong winds and superb play by Swede Karin Sjodin in Saturday's third round in Rancho Mirage, California.

The Taiwanese world number one, hunting her sixth major victory, ended a challenging day at Mission Hills Country Club by carding a one-under-par 71 to hold a share of the lead with the unheralded Sjodin, who fired a 68.

Tseng, who has triumphed three times in just five starts on the LPGA Tour this season, began the round a stroke in front and had to settle for a nine-under total of 207 after narrowly missing a 10-foot birdie putt at the par-five last.

The long-hitting Sjodin, seeking her first win on the U.S. circuit, surged to the top of the leaderboard by mixing five birdies with a lone bogey as winds gusted up to 25 mph (40 kph) in the California desert.

South Korea's Kang Haeji was alone in third place at seven under after returning a 72 in the penultimate round of the first women's major of the year.

"My emotions came through and it wasn't very good out there on the back nine," 2010 Kraft Nabisco champion Tseng, who offset three birdies with three bogeys after the turn, told reporters.

"I was thinking too much, trying too hard and didn't trust myself. But it's good that it happened today instead of tomorrow. I know I am learning some things and tomorrow I've just got to trust myself more."

DOMINANT FIGURE

Tseng, the LPGA Tour's dominant figure who has won six of her last 12 events and four of the last eight majors, said the wind had been her biggest problem.

"I was hitting a couple of shots in the rough and I wasn't sure if the ball was going to go low enough, that kind of thing," the ever smiling 23-year-old added.

"Every player is trying to win this tournament and I am excited. I can't wait to tee off tomorrow," said the Taiwanese, who had pink tape strapped around her right elbow to help her cope with tendinitis.

Sjodin played remarkably steady golf over the back nine as the winds intensified, posting birdies at the 11th and 16th around a bogey at the 12th to stay at the top of the leaderboard.

"I just hit the ball really solid and the wind didn't touch it much when I did, and that helps," the 28-year-old Swede said.

"I have worked a lot on my short game, my putting and my distance control. On these greens, you are not going to get close all the time so you have to make a lot of good two-putts."

Asked if she was up to the challenge of duelling with the world number one in the final round of a major, Sjodin replied with a smile: "Yeah, I think so."

World number two Choi Na-yeon was three strokes off the lead after carding a 71, ending the day level with fellow Koreans Seo Hee-kyung (69), Ji Eun-hee (70), Kim In-kyung (70) and Yoo Sun-young (72). (Reporting by Mark Lamport-Stokes in Los Angeles; Editing by Larry Fine)

Combining Dental, Vision and Hearing into health insurance ...

business man with money coming out of his ears

I'm sorry, I can't hear you because I am making too much money to care.

People only call me for dental insurance when they need work done. In the industry this is called adverse selection. When I inform people that most plans have a 6 month waiting period for major dental work their interest evaporates.

The number one question I get from seniors in Medicare is if there are plans that have hearing and hearing aid benefits. Neither Medicare, individual or group plans have any built-in benefit for dental, vision or hearing.

But you don?t have to be 65 to need a hearing aid. I am 48 and have had hearing loss in one ear for over 5 years. Should I get a hearing aid? Yes. Have I? No. Why Not? That?s for another blog post. Although, I will say that if my health insurance had some sort of hearing aid benefit, I would be more seriously inclined to be fitted for a hearing aid.

I believe it would be wise for the insurance companies to offer plans that included dental, vision and hearing benefits. Oral health has now been linked to heart disease and diabetes. Vision exams can also detect diabetes and other diseases. As we age, good vision and hearing improves our quality life and productivity and performance at work.

For the normal person, we refrain from taking action when it will cost us money. Unless the service is already paid for through insurance, we just won?t go for teeth cleanings, vision or hearing check. There are some combination dental/vision plans starting to be offered which is a good first step. But it needs to be more widespread in the individual market and not just a special offering in the group health insurance arena.

After all, isn?t your mouth, eyes and ears part of your overall body and health?

It has never made sense to me to that dental insurance is not included in comprehensive medical insurance. Maybe it?s because dental care was originally seen as mainly cosmetic or because dentists aren?t medical doctors. I suspect there?s also concern about adding dental insurance to medical coverage due to the added cost. In any case, it?s become?increasingly?clear that oral health and overhaul health are closely linked, and that at least in targeted populations it?s pennywise and pound foolish not to emphasize dental care.

A newly published large scale study demonstrated that Type II diabetics who receive periodontal treatment have medical costs that are lower by $1814 per year compared to the control group. The savings held up over the three-year scope of the study. The concept is that oral infections worsen a patient?s diabetes; treating the infection improves the diabetes. From?Health Leaders:

The study?s release coincided with United Concordia launch of a diabetes-specific program that provides 100% coverage for surgical procedures, other treatments, and maintenance for patients with gum disease.

?This is the most statistically conclusive study proving the relationship between oral health and medical cost savings. The savings are just the start of what is to come,? United Concordia COO/President F.G. ?Chip? Merkel told reporters. ?We believe that employers will realize reduced medical costs when their employees with diabetes receive appropriate periodontal care.?

Merkel suggests that a targeted approach to dental coverage would go a long way.

?The thought is you don?t need to cover everybody in the population,? he says. ?The better thing to do is cover those targeted populations where we can show savings and where we know an intervention program of information and assistance will help them get in and get the treatment they need.?

I don?t doubt that the study sponsors have a commercial goal in mind, but it seems to me the idea of expanding dental coverage, especially for populations like diabetics, is a smart thing to do.
